What I know so far

Some details about Slim Legs System:
-- if you already have a Slim Belly System, you won't have to purchase a whole new package. You'll only need the Slim Legs. The tubing from the Slim Belly connects perfectly to the Slim Legs pants.
-- they're not available for sale in the U.S. yet.
-- I don't know what they'll cost.

And another thing - I completely expect them to work. Because Slim Belly does. And if it didn't I sure as heck wouldn't be running down the street looking like the Florida Michelin Woman in 90 degree heat and about 1,000 percent humidity. Sure, people may laugh at me but that's never stopped me before. :)

So today's Sunday and here's my update so far.

Friday
I took my measurements on Friday morning. I measured at two places on my thighs, and I did my hips and belly too since the Slim Legs pants do cover a fair amount of the bottom and belly. Most days at work I spend my lunch hour walking (and talking) about three miles with some friends. Outside when it's nice and inside when it's too hot to walk and return to work without showering. (There's a bunch of huge buildings that are connected plus two tunnels, so one loop is about a mile. We do three.)

So this Friday I was meeting a friend to walk and was debating with myself about struggling into the Slim Legs -- maybe I should just use the Slim Belly instead? But no, I figured what the heck, so I grabbed the pants and yanked them on and . . . lo and behold . . . they went on pretty easily. I pulled my exercise skort on over them and off I went.

At this point I'd say that the Slim Belly System looks more conspicuous than it feels. I always told people -- it's looks heavy and more cumbersome than it feels when you're wearing it.

I think the Slim Legs FEEL more conspicuous than they look. They look like puffy-ish yoga pants. And the air channels aren't that large, so the puffyness is more of a feel than it is a look. And they're heavier than the Slim Belly belt, so when I run, I can feel the weight a little.

Saturday
I was going to my favorite workout of the week, a cardio class at Gainesville Health & Fitness that combines punching, kicking, stations and choreography -- and a lot of fun -- and I was worried that the weight and tightness of the Slim Legs would be too restrictive. So I wore my Slim Belly instead. As I write this, I am ashamed of myself though. So next Saturday I am gonna wear them!

Sunday
It was 10am when I finally left the house for a three-mile run and, being Florida in June, it was already too hot and humid for smart people to run. But I did. As I mentioned the Slim Legs material is pretty thick - thicker than anything I normally run in, even in the winter. So they were hot but definitely more comfortable than my first run in them last Thursday.

I wasn't as "aware" of them as I was the first time either but I could tell they warmed me up a lot. I like to do longer runs on Sundays but I don't think I'd try running longer than three in the heat, it might just be a bit too much. You never know, though, I am still getting used to them and I may change my mind.

Cutest thing about the Slim Legs? They have a little drawstring closure at the waistband. What for?? It's NOT like they're going to FALL off!
