They're here! And I took them for a test run.
My Slim Legs finally arrived yesterday but I'd already worked out and it was a crazy night, so I didn't even try them on but tonight I needed to go for a run. I'd planned on doing some thigh-measuring before I ran in them but wanted to try them on first.
They weren't what I was expecting. The material is different than the Slim Belly belt. It's thick and stretchy, and fairly heavy too. They're like really thick, heavy, ribbed bike pants. And I've been thinking of them as only for the legs. But the tubing also covers up part of my bottom and belly -- a bonus. It's not just for your legs. Cool!
I'd been warned by Molly's friend, Des, that they were hard to stuff yourself into. Des received two advance pairs from Europe at Molly's request last week. She kept a pair and sent me the other one, so she's had her's for a week and shared some intel on them. Like that they're really hard to stuff yourself into at first but they do stretch out and get more comfortable. I sure HOPE SO!
It wasn't easy getting them on but, fortunately, I was in high school in the '80's so I know how to squeeze into a pair of pants that are eight sizes too tight. It was like riding a bike, the skill came right back. And once I had them on, I wasn't taking them off to measure my before-thighs so I headed out for an inaugural run.
I admit I felt a little like the Michelin Man from my waist to my knees. I put on a tank top and a swim skirt (to cover some of that stuff up), hooked my compressor unit thing up to the connectors in front of the pants, and strapped the belt that holds that around my waist. I walked into the kitchen and my husband gave me the same look he gave me when I first put on my Slim Belly about a year ago. Kinda like, "I love you too much to tell you how ridiculous you look."
And out I went. Three hot, sweaty miles for my test run. I'll measure in the morning and start counting from there.
Thanks, Molly! (I think.)
